Dear Colleagues,
The uncontrolled opening of law faculties and high admission quotas have caused serious increases in the number of our colleagues. In the last three years, 480 colleagues have joined our ranks. Faced with this rapid growth — alongside the country's economic, social and political situation, fundamental problems in the functioning of the judiciary, and the steady narrowing of the legal profession's fields of practice — a significant portion of our newly licensed colleagues have reached the point of being unable to meet a minimum livelihood.
Against this economic difficulty, mandatory defense work under the CMK has unfortunately become a major source of income for our newly licensed colleagues. Our Bar Board is planning to move to a new coefficient system based on the idea of positive discrimination in favor of those new to the profession. However, the views of you, our esteemed colleagues, are decisive for us in implementing this decision.
In summary, the system we plan to adopt rests on this idea: service points of colleagues with 0 — 3 or 0 — 5 years of experience would be evaluated with a lower coefficient, so that newly licensed younger colleagues take on more CMK assignments.
